‘The public and critical reaction to Challenge Anneka’s return has been amazing and we have decided to preserve the remaining two shows and reschedule them soon.’

This is a major contrast to the likes of ITV’s Saturday Night Takeaway which bagged 4 million watchers, while Starstruck garnered 2.2 million viewers in the same time slot.
While the first two episodes aired in the Saturday 8.30pm slot, this week’s instalment will be replaced by Royal documentaries, with Zara & Mike: The People’s Royals showing at 8.30pm.
This will then be followed by Fergie & Meghan: Inconvenient Royals at 9:30pm.
Channel 5’s reboot aims to tackle the challenges faced by modern Britons and highlight everyday heroes.
The original programme, which first aired in 1989, saw Anneka work to make a pool for orphan seals in two days, help organise a party for children in need and plan the converting two bungalows for two disabled residents.
